A book editor is a worthwhile investment
I see a lot of writers on social media groups who feel they are ready to share their manuscript with an editor.
Except they have one big obstacle in front of them.
They fear the editor will steal their work.
I understand this fear, as I write as well as edit. But the fear is unfounded and as irrational as a lot of emotions. It’s a survival-based knee-jerk reaction that the ancient part of our brain has to new possibilities.
But we can all relax. A good editor stakes their reputation on helping other writers create the best possible work. The editor has a more objective view on the work and is trained to guide you along the way. It’s a worthwhile investment, whether you the writer want to self-publish or publish traditionally.
I’m working with a couple of writers right now, but my schedule will open up soon. Feel free to schedule a free 30-minute discovery call to learn more.
