Are you a genius?

Overheard in a meeting yesterday:

"Just because you have Microsoft Word doesn't mean you can write like Shakespeare."

This is true.

Microsoft Word is awful. I hate it.

It's not tailored for the true genius inside you.

But it is industry standard.

Do you want to be standard, or do you want to let your light shine brighter than all the rest?

You can certainly use Word. It is better than most other apps.

Use the tool that allows you quick access to your dreams, your purpose.

Having a team can be an important tool.

A book coach can be a great sounding board and reflect that you are, in fact, not Shakespeare.

They will mirror back to you that YOU are incomparable, your vision being the powerful driving force of what you set out to capture on the page, and whether it's there yet or not.

An editor who is aligned with your purpose and your vision will be able to iron out all the details, tighten up the prose, address inconsistencies, and fix those pesky grammar and spelling errors.

A ghostwriter can do it all for you.

All you need is to meet with them on a regular basis for a certain amount of time and have a conversation, sharing your vision, your goals, your framework or methodology, your life-changing or industry-disrupting big idea.

The ghostwriter will interview you, ask you clarifying questions. While you are the author, they are the writer. They will see your genius, tease it out of you, lay it bare on the page, and craft it into a coherent, compelling, and critical component in the conversation taking place in your world.

Shakespeare, by the way, wasn't a genius because he was better or more egotistical than the rest. He was a genius because he tapped into his truth, his way of being and seeing the world, and having the courage to express his authentic self.
