There comes a time when you create something and you are in awe. #muse
There comes a time when you create something and you are in awe.
Legit in awe of what you’ve written, painted, photographed.
For me, it’s this photograph. I can’t believe I made it.
I look at it with reverence. I look at it with fear.
She is a powerful queen, yes. But, more importantly, how did I make this photo? Can I make it again? How can I be so sure? How can I top this? I know the conditions and the settings, and I can recreate those, but the next time won’t be the same.
Thinking too much about these questions will stunt your growth.
Chill out. Relax. You can do it again.
When I tell people I capture the essence of your inner brilliance, whether as a book editor or photographer, this is what I mean.
I channel my creativity through the king inside me and create my kingdom. Or I lay out the map for my comrades (clients) to follow.
Be it a short story, a manuscript, a portrait, or event photography.
When the king steps up, so does the muse, so do his subjects.
Do the work. Keep going. Believe in yourself and your creativity.
(To be continued.)
