Behold the Precipice

There is something very important to know about the Precipice, if you are an author or entrepreneur called to help people.

The Precipice is the point of no return.

It is the fulcrum that balances the old self and the new self.

It is the ledge overlooking a seemingly vast chasm of the unknown. Which, to our mind’s eye, is the equivalent of death.

If you are a fiction or narrative nonfiction writer, this is the point where your main character must make a life-changing decision.

They can only see so much, only a step or two ahead, the consequences of that decision. But you the author know the true consequences.

The entrepreneur or nonfiction author who wants to make an impact by sharing their take on a premise or situation must know this as well.

If that is you, you must know where your customer or reader is at in this moment, the current culture or mindset in which they surround themselves, and what is at stake.

More often than not, the old self being challenged by new ideas or situations will try to grab hold of anything to keep itself where it is. Because it is the known world. To them, it is safe. Even if another person would question that perception of safety.

But they are on the Precipice.

If they have positioned themselves there, the decision they make at that moment will be a powerful one. They will decide to keep it safe, or they will decide to step off the ledge.

The vast chasm is real in their minds.

This is where the bogeymen live in the dark. This is where any trauma began. This is where lies fester in the recesses.

This is where you must write from. You must know what is holding them back. You must know that this is what is present in their mind and body when you present them a change in trajectory.

When you show this in your book, whether a novel or nonfiction or for your online sales funnel, your reader will understand, will feel seen, and will follow you, the light, through the dark.
