When the muse presents herself or as another character to you, take her hand and lead her to your roost.

You’ll think you’re leading everything. But her showing up has been an invitation she has purposefully chosen to extend to you.

Ideally, the pages of her life will be spread open for you to take in. And you’ll be able to flip those pages, back and forth.

Your job, though, is to uncover who she is and whether you want to entertain her notion of being in your hands, in your care.

This character of hers, who has fallen into your lap, wears many layers.

Her nuances and idiosyncrasies and foibles will slowly soon become apparent as your fingers peel off her mask and explore deeper.

Take your time with her and she will reveal herself to you.
